Looking through their twitter for 30 seconds they've posted a pic of Wesley Schneider as a child and Mika Godts as a child on their birthdays.

The ♥️ in the happy birthday message plus the selection of photograph where JH has his hand on the badge tells me this is all very deliberate and it’s happening. Or maybe they are just trying to woo him.

I’m not on X any more. Did he like/ love the happy birthday SAFC post?

It could be, but there's an almost infinite number of things that may have happened that we are unaware of. Difficult to speculate on.

I'm doubtful the club would hold the announcement as I'm sure it would strengthen Bruce's hand in current negotiations no end.

I feel like it’s quite inevitable that he signs to be honest. It would be quite the announcement if they did it with the home kit mind / great PR
 
Henderson as a player/ coach, ie getting his 'badges' and playing a DM anchor role (as many have said) would IMHO be great for the team and squad.

His wages and perhaps the knock-on effect on the the other player's wages, may prove a stumbling block.
 
Just my opinion but I don’t think we will make any signings until July 1st. Potentially could be related to the start of the new psr period but also we aren’t officially confirmed as a premier league team until after the AGM which is some time around now.

Yeah that's what I am starting to think.

Contracts run to June 30th and players get yearly loyalty bonuses paid that day.

If he comes here wages won't be an issue, he's not going to be expecting Liverpool wages.
 
I don’t know if this is on or off but if we can do it then for me it’s a no brainier.
A current England international on a free transfer who I presume wants to come and play for us I mean why should people not want this?
Apart from still able to do his job in a technical sense he has always been lauded for what he brings both on the field and off regarding leadership and standards.
He’d be ideal for our young team.
