The levels are completely different both for International football and the Premier League.

Our best player Jack Clarke went from being flavour of the month here to an also ran at Ipswich. Admittedly he was played out of position but even allowing for that he didn't score a single goal.

Dan Burn is a decent Premier League player. He looked like a complete donkey playing for England. Henderson looked calm, assured and exactly as he has in his previous several years at the very highest level.

Our current players are miles away from that level.

No one knows and after last time when Hendo said after nothing had been said and didn't know where it had came from , it wouldn't shock me if nowts happening. Us getting promoted has defo boosted our chances i reckon but it's all just talk from us lot and journos atm

I hadn’t kept up with the thread, and was unsure. It’s a long thread for something that seems to have no substance, either way 😀

I love Neil mind and think he will go on to be cracking prem player but if thats the stumbling block to his contract then cash in and bring Hendo in on a free.

Do we think Neill is ready to be a regular starter in the PL though? I’m a fan of his but I’m not so sure he is.
 
Be great signing for a 2 year contract
I dont want to see us going back to signing old players nearly at end of career, after on e last pay packet much prefer the recent model of getting young hungry players who actually want to play, however think this scenario is much different, we need some experience along with his care for the club and area, its a no brainer for me... might even be looking at a lad who could manage us one day
