When you're a multi millionaire you have choices. He made the wrong choice. He didn't need any money, he would have been on £100K a week man.

Has zero experience as a coach. He will be useful to the squad in terms of experience and on the field where he has a proven track record. Not sure if he’s doing his badges or whether he even wants to coach so let’s staff the coaching setup with experienced coaches. I’d like him as a player/experienced head in the team next season. If he wants to coach it should be a low priority for us.

When Steven Gerrard was being considered for the manager's job at Rangers, he was supposedly considering bringing Henderson in as a player-coach.

I think that the primary benefit of having Henderson at the club would be more on the positive influence he would bring and the good example he would set for younger players, in terms of developing good habits, striving for constant improvement, etc..

Tuchel is hinting similar reasons for having him in the england setup this summer. Reminds me of Kevin Ball being more than just an on field skipper for reidy back in the day, who Jordan has referenced as a big influence on his formative years.
