Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

Just a private individual playing for a private club! Do we have a problem with Isador who played for a Russian club? It’s mindblowing hypocrisy!
Went to play in a country with an atrocious human rights record, and did so for the money.
Henderson is hypocritical due to his previous support for gay rights etc. He also appears greedy for money.

I don't see how it is blood money, or similar to the Mags though. Or why it should rule him out of returning to his boyhood club.

He was paid £0 for his time there, so I'd say that's a very clear stance on what he thought of the regime once he got there.

However, he went with the intention of adding several more £million into his account, and had to toss aside much of the things he had said, supported and stood for in the past. Those things were important to a lot of people and they felt incredibly let down by his decision to forget about them in his pursuit of $$$.

It's been acknowledged that he is no youngster and can't run as fast at 34 years of age. He is undoubtedly a superb leader and captain. However I think it is important that we select an appropriate role model as a captain. I would just prefer that there were better role models for our children at the club such as Luke O'Nien. His behaviour while playing for the club, and especially in the play-offs, was exemplary and inspiring.

I would prefer the club looked elsewhere.

Where did you get the term “sleepwalked” from? Sounds like the usual rubbish spouted on the Musk owned social media platform.

Borden’s administration supported Ukraine massively. Trump, and his arsehole bearded little helper, ambushed Zelensky live on TV in The White House. He is a disgrace to his country.

I genuinely can’t think of a worse American president.
.. I'm sure he is a big fan of Trump ..

Personally, I don't see us a side who are going to press a lot like that and IMO it's the quickest way for a newly promoted side to go down with single digit points in the modern day PL.

IMO we'll sit in, let the opposition have the ball and look to counter.

A big thing with that style of play is we'll need to hold on to the ball when we get it and use it effectively.

Someone like Henderson would be ideal, to ensure the ball is used well and that we are not giving it straight back to the opposition so that it becomes the Alamo game after game.

We'll be f#cked if we sit back and invite pressure in the PL.

We'll need to fight for every ball, and that's were players with a high workrate come into play. It'll be scrappy at times, but we need to match the oppositions energy, because we'll be outclassed in quality against most sides.
