Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

Surprised many seem open to him returning, everyone hated him when he took the blood money and went to Saudi. It does show though, we would be no different to the mags had we got the takeover they got, which let's be honest we all knew that anyway.

Here he is

Well I'll admit I wasn't impressed at all with him going to Saudi and using imagery of Sunderland in his sportswashing announcement there. It is night and day from you lot actively supporting an entity owned by murderers though.

35 in a few days mind .
The speed and strength of premier league players now has greatly improved since he played for Liverpool.
If he was playing with Bellingham I wouldn't mind as could really influence him and Bellingham has the strength and speed to go with Henderson
If we sell Bellingham and play hendo with Dan Neil and le fee , it's a really weak slow midfield.
If we get rid of Bellingham we need two really high quality , athletic 6' plus quick strong midfielders to play with le fee
It hasn't man.
Hendo is 35 next month, same age as Johnny Evans who has also been let go. Get them both in and why not try for Titus Bramble whilst you are at it.
Evans is 37.HE returned to Man United and won the FA Cup when he was 35.

Not for me. The moments gone. We have a successful model that has been proven to work. We should stick with that approach.

He isn't though. He gets picked, but he shouldn't be anymore.

He's from Sunderland, and had a great career. That's why people want him here. If it was 35 year old Bulgarian international Yordan Hendov, who had previously captained Liverpool but has spent the last 2 years arsing about in Saudi Arabia while pretending it wasn't financially motivated, and then failing to win the Dutch league with the biggest club in the Netherlands, I don't think there'd be the same clamour for it. I could be wrong.
Absolute nail on head

It's exactly the same, 99% of football fans are hypocrites let's be honest , they will always look the other way if it benefits the club they support.

If the same scum that bought your lot bought Sunderland I’d be gutted and it wouldn’t feel like supporting Sunderland ever again.

Don’t lump us in with your needy, hypocritical bald fan base ever again you little c**t.

I look at teams who have come up and are doing well.
Most of villas midfield are 6 ft plus athletes - onana is 6,5. All fast and strong.

You watch these and forest, palace and brentford and they have athletes playing for them - all really quick and strong. Maybe a big strong target man like woods at forest.

Imo football is changing. Man u haven't changed with it and havent the strength or speed. Aging players in fernanadez and casemiro lacking the physicality and speed to play with some teams.
The slow ponderous possession based football of pep is going.

‘We’ 😂

What an utter Wanker you are.

Still waiting for someone to tell me when has previous players returning ever worked well for us?….
Pop Robson, think he came back twice and scored goals everytime. They quoted him as 29 years of age when he came back ,even though us and WHU kept playing pass the parcel with him

Now count the amount that haven’t worked out…….

I think this pining for ex players is all a bit nostalgic tbh. We would be better off looking for talent in ligue one and the bundesliga.

Henderson would likely cost a pretty penny in wages alone and he would be retiring in 2 years…

I think we need to be looking at being a bit brave and ambitious in honesty, bringing in the best youngsters we can find who are frustrated they aren’t getting regular games yet at the top clubs.
