Listened to the recent podcasts, disagreed with some of them - no big deal, interesting podcasts with parts I did enjoy and agree with.

Sad / nauseating AF trying to cancel it, get a life.

Nobody's cancelling anyone ffs.
if I go to a toilet and it's covered in shit I leave and find one that isnt. I'm not 'cancelling' the toilet just not using it.
People want the tit to stop spreading disinformation that's all.

What about on here? Should people who aren't vaccinated be allowed to post on here - as per your earlier comment about them not being allowed to interact with society.

I think it would be fantastic for the bbc to hold an open panel discussion on this subject. Get a person on who has an opinion that the vaccinations don't work and then have experts on who can take their opinions apart, bit by bit infront of the biggest possible audience. That would do so much in terms of stopping the spread of misinformation.

To think that if you restrict a person who holds a belief on a subject from having one platform will silence them is just naïve. They will just go somewhere else.
I never said they cannot interact with society at all, just not in the same way as a vaccinated person.

Much the same as we don’t allow doctors to operate without washing their hands first. Everyone has the right not to wash their hands, but don’t expect a job as a surgeon if that’s your choice.

Giving airtime to dangerous theories that are not backed up by credible evidence hurts people, so no, I don’t agree that they should have a platform.

The Mmr stuff should never has seen the light of day as it wasn’t credible.

So if you want to have a platform, you need to have a credible point. Not an opinion that has nothing behind it.

No one is trying to cancel it, I’ve decided not to find it though.

Again, should unvaccinated people be allowed an opinion on here?

I have to say, your views do seem extreme to me. I have never met anybody who has ever said something as troubling as, "People have a right not to get vaccinated, but don’t have a right to interact with society in the same way as vaccinated people." You will run in to some serious road blocks in day to day life with that world view imo.

It seems at the moment people want the far extreme of free speech, that you can say what you what, when you want, with absolutely no comeback. It’s crackers.

Aye Spotify should let him crack on talking shite about vaccines and care not about the real life consequences that might have.

You’re allowed an opinion but you need to back it up with rationale.

If my opinion was that you are a nonce, should I be allowed to air that option without any evidence?

No, because just the platforming of that opinion can cause damage.

Do you think unvaccinated people should be able to do as they please?

Every surgeon must be vaccinated against hepatitis- would you advocate that they shouldn’t be?

Rogan responds and says he'll do more research in future:

You must be logged on to see media items

Then proceeds to say he has no hard feelings towards Joni, loves her, loves her music and that "Chuck E's In Love is a great song".

Wanker.

Getting his research links from Robbied I bet.

That is quite funny

This is why people shouldn't be allowed to share bollocks about vaccines. It's not free speech, it's not 'an opinion', it's false information and it's leading to kids being sick.

I'd never heard of Josh Rogan before this all kicked off

A perfect example of The Streisand Effect

Yep.

There’s now some evidence that hesitancy over the COVID jab could reduce the likelihood of a parent getting their children vaccinated for routine vaccination.

Dangerous road we are going down. Celebrities are not suitable conduits for health messaging, but the rise of celebrity culture has led to this.

It’s all fine and well Pele selling viagra but when these people start to promote their own disinformation it becomes harmful.

Sadly, Joe Rogan will bring in more listeners than Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. Personally I rather keep the likes of Mitchell and cut back on podcast. About 80% are just shite and now you have a platform for to people to spread vile fake information. They aren't conservative or right wing views at all! Rogan has a massive audience who think he's a demigod. That's dangerous.

I'd love to see what the revenues are for podcasts on Spotify?
Nobody will subscribe to Spotify for the podcasts, most are available elsewhere. People subscribe to Spotify for the music first, second and third. After that some might want to listen to an exclusive like Joe Rogan and choose Spotify over Amazon or Apple.

You didn’t want unvaccinated people to be able to interact with society. That’s the part I disagreed with you on.
