The police say they have evidence that this individual has groomed a child, and yet the club believes it is appropriate for him to be running around the pitch, being cheered on by the public.

This is one of the most shameful decisions in the history of the club. I feel very sorry for the family of the alleged victim. The whole thing is appalling and sickening, and if he is selected v Stoke then I will not be attending matches for the remainder of the season, and I know several people who have said the same.

The board have shown extremely poor judgment on several issues and this has to be the final straw - there must be a reshuffle in the boardroom following this.

I am ambivalent about this as a key part of the legal system is innocent until proven, however being charged with taking advantage of under age girls is f***ing horrific for a man in his position and it doesn't sit comfortably for me.
I agree it doesn't sit comfortably for me either, I do think that if the English justice system moved more quickly and I was confident there would be a quick resolution I'd be more on the suspend side.
As it is the fact I think it will take months sort of makes me go against suspension.
It's a difficult one for me with no one or easy answer.
In short I'm on the fence with spelks in me bum as to the right response

Tbf they said they had evidence against a lot of people, many were given a not guilty verdict.

I would be very surprised if he is selected to play any games for the remainder of the season. Maybe the club cannot suspend him, but have come to some agreement where they say he is available for selection, but he is not selected to play?

Since when did all police evidence get 100% convictions? Interesting development if so.

Why would we not be allowed to suspend him?

Theyve just chosen not to. Because they don't have to.

Know a lot about CPS conversion rates in court do you? I don't, feel free to enlighten us.

Exactly, there are rights and wrongs on both sides of this arguement, but some have quoted the two Coronation actors as being suspended as an example.
They failed to mention both were found innocent

Michael Le Vell was charged with five counts of rape, three of indecent assault, two counts of sexual activity with a child, and two of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

Went to crown court and looked like all the evidence pointed to guilty and look what happened there

Same bloke didn't work until the trial was over. Good example.

I agree with your first paragraph but your second is a bit silly imo.
