I've never seen worse displays than some of the games he played after the mega contract. Big shame for him as he should have gone on to be so much better, still made a top-flight wage though.

Bolton away on the first day of the season, he was excellent in the middle and had a great spread of passing during our 1-0 win. Never really saw that again and thought he got obsessed with being an enforcer. Beforehand, Whitehead went the same way.

Was at that game. He had a worldy. Thought we'd signed a genuine superstar. Still love the daft bastard
