Every time I go round my Nana's she's got the soaps on from about 20/30 year ago. I keep asking if she's caught up yet. They're from around the time I'd watch them with my mam as well.Used to love his character when I watched Corrie with my mam as a kid. Tried to watch it recently and it just wasn’t the same, none of the soaps are. RIP Fred.

Thought he went years ago tbh which is why he wasn't in it any more.
A great character when Corrie was a bit light-hearted and I'd imagine watchable (I've only ever seen the odd episode tbh).

What's happened to the characters and the writing? It's all gone a bit bleak and serious. They seem to be too busy shoeing-in stories based on the latest social issues rather than focussing on the entertainment.Bloody hell, spat my coffee out at the end!
RIP, no characters like him knocking around Corrie nowadays.
Aye, the Empire's notoriously brutal audience.Always remember him in The Rocky Horror Show at the Empire as narrator, after his days in Coronation Street.
He was doing his link bit saying "so was it now over, and what indeed could be over.."
Some wag near the front shouted "your career"
I see Dev at the gym now and then. Hasn’t aged much at all.Up there with Jim McDonald and Dev Alahan.
