John Arlott commentary

Hussain screaming ā€œWhat a grab !ā€ does my head in, it’s a catch Nasser ….. a catch

I like Nasser, but I absolutely hate it when he calls a catch a "grab". No, a grab is what I would expect my three year old to do when I throw a ball at him.

He is trying to be "trendy", but it is absolutely awful and after being excellent earlier in his career, he is venturing into being hyperbolic now to suit modern audiences. He isn't alone, Mark Howard and Danny Morrison for example are unlistenable, and I've never like Pommie Mbangwa.

Atherton is by far the best and Broad is vastly improving with hime.

TMS is generally a better listen than most TV broadcasters now though, a good mix of personalities and styles.

Brilliant clips of Arlott and Benaud. Arlott made me think I was there and could picture everything going on. Benaud a classic almost understated but devastating put down of the tactics.
