Jocelin Ta Bi

What’s classed as the current setup?
Is Poveda, Ba, Rusyn, Pembele (gone now) would they be classed as this.
The ex West Ham left back is a miss for me. Adingra .. needs to do more .. jury still out for me.
Talbi needs to develop.

I was hoping for another Xhaka mate winger to come in. We need to be aiming higher with the signings to go into starting 11.

This lad looks like one for the future to me.
Not fussed on ' one for the future ' type players . Over the last 20 years there's not been many successes. Think of Hysen Fredegaard, Bassila, Medina up to the likes Ba and Bennette. Not much to shout there, let's hope Ta Bi bucks the trend

I think he will be more of the " nearly there" players, who we have had significant success with, Clarke, Ballard, Hume, Mundle? Who have been playing a bit but need bringing on.

Get him on against West Ham.

Up against Scarles at left back. He’ll feel like a world beater.

And what if it's too soon for him having moved to a new country playing football at a much much higher pace? He might need a while to get up to speed, might need quite a bit more time than Brobbey was allowed

Would add Bellingham and Mayenda to that list so in reality, we are currently pretty successful at coaching young lads to step up.
Yes, I agree, and we have brought those players on. £3m isn't much of a gamble. He is quick and direct but his shooting is poor. Perhaps that can improve and he can look at his other options more.

just watched the kids interview.
Seems very humble and very much a Le Bris type character.

I know the video was from a pretty poor league, but his centre of gravity and burst of speed is nuts
Also his technique with some of those balls he puts in is really impressive.
Decent shot too and can take a penna.
Lots of raw talent to work with

Looks like a great one we can bed in slowly and i'm sure having a lot of African players will help him settle quickly.

i wonder how long we've been watching him?
When it comes to these compilation videos the things i always look at are their touch, technique and decision making. Those things will stand up most of the time. All three look top notch on this lad. He also has one thing that even shite players can make a career out of, genuine rapid pace.

The lad is 20yr old, from the Ivory Coast. I don't know his religion or who he voted for. It doesn't matter. I don't know any of your religions or who you vote for and I don't care, because, it doesn't matter! This is football and Sunderland, politics and religious differences have no place here. Our common interest is football not bigotry.
The amount of people who choose sides on here without realising that it's all about one thing Us and Them. Us being up to 9 billion people and Them being up to half a million assorted Sociopaths and Psychopaths who think they own the World. Well said by the way, there's a forum for people who like to chew the fat on politics.
