Awful league he's playing in for sure but his data is canny, there's better highlight reels out there of him where he shows a lot of promise. I imagine we will still be looking for a starting winger too

Feels like a similar type signing to Abdullahi (he also needed surgery :lol:). Someone with potential we could develop and worst case if he doesn't make a breakthrough, will likely still move on for a profit.

Also Celtic have a good record with this type of signing, maybe they just can't take the risk financially with him needing the surgery, whereas we can.
 
Maybe get him in now with a view to potentially seeing him back end of next season or something?

The key thing with all of this is the trust fans have with the club/manager, 10 years ago we’d of been calling for someone like him to come into the side a few weeks after he signed, because we’d be struggling so much

I'm pretty sure the whole surgery thing is just something Celtic have put out there to cover for pulling out of the move for political reasons.
