Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

The lad has taken a massive step forward this season, I've enjoyed watching him grow. If it's time for him to move on he can go with his head held high.

Shame but was always gonna happen. He’s off to bigger and better things than he’d ever get Ruth us unfortunately. My boy idolises Jobe, both of the brothers actually but Jobe just edges it I think. He’s helped us on the pitch and helped raise our profile off it.

What a pathetic post

He has gone. 40 million apparently. That was the rumour going around the corporate seats today

If we sell him for £40 million we will have to spend £50 million on a possible better replacement.
Keep for a season and sell when we are looking like going down by January 🥵

I'd love us to keep him, I think he is gonna be a star. Seems a lovely kid n'all. But he has gone mate

Think he's going . Family have it all planned out . Pretty sure they would have insisted on a release clause ,when he signed extension . He will tread a similar path to Jude.

I'd be surprised if he stays, I think it'll be done quite quickly to be honest. Suspect it may be a bit more advanced than most think right now.

Those kisses to the crowd and waves said to me that was his last game for us. In his post match interview with Frankie and DC he was also very quick to put it back to them that Sunderland are a Premier League club, when they said he was now a Premier League player.

I think he’s very much on a planned career path. I’d be delighted if he was to give the top-flight a go with us but, like you, think he was saying goodbye.

He was notably absent in our suite with the rest of the players, even Watson was there. On a side note, Watson is a big lad, 6’1

Fully expected the lad to be sold for big money this summer after the start he had to the season regardless of which division we ended up in.

Just wonder if the family might consider a season in the Premier league as being worth the experience.

I'm sure som e big clubs will be looking at trying to get him right now put of fear that a good Premier league season could see his value add another 10m easily (Delap as an example).
He'll be off.

He sounded, yesterday, like he loved the club and supporters, was proud of what the squad had achieved and was pleased that he played his part in leaving us in a better place.

I didn't pick up on anything that indicated he relished the fight to build Sunderland into a constant force in the Premier league.

I may be wrong {I hope I am) , but you can understand why he'd want to move on to a Champions League club and, you can understand why SAFC would need to sell him in order to buy players that will keep us in the top tier without falling foul of whatever the new version of FFP is called.
