Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

I wish him well I just hope the fee is closer to £30m than £20m but with German clubs all interested I fear it will be closer to £20m.
Then with Birminghams cut it will be a bit disappointing tbh. However, he came in and has helped get the club promoted so can't be too annoyed.

Just one of them things. Good while it lasted but both sides using each other for convenience maybe.

It does seem certain he'll go, but it is a shame how much players careers are managed. I'd fully accept it if we stayed in the championship, he's not really got anything to prove there, and I doubt another season would benefit him.

But you can tell that the lad loves being here. He seems to love his teammates, he was absolutely overcome with emotion after Coventry, then again after Sheffield United. Earlier in the season when he scored the winner at Swansea was the same. We're in a league that will pit players against some of the best in the world. A relegation would hardly harm him because you're expected to struggle as the play off winners. He's still young enough that he doesn't need to jump to a CL side straight away. Could stay here and give it a go with us, on an improved, premier league, contract. Seems such a shame to lose him and, whilst I'm not suggesting he'd beg to stay, he really doesn't look like someone who is desperate to go either

Project Bellingham - there’s a clear plan for him just like there was Jude

I felt that his interview on the pitch after the match was a job done and goodbye interview. Hope I’m wrong but the rumours seem to suggest that.

If we hadn't of got promoted I would of accepted It more that he's leaving but we are playing In the premier league next season thought the lad would of wanted to at least experience that for one season

I got told last week by someone who works at the club that there was a flight to Germany booked this week for Jobe.
I thought it was to speak to Dortmund but obviously it's for Frankfurt. Apparently one of BD's lot flew over here yesterday for talks with the lad.
I'd love him to stay but it looks very unlikely.
Dortmund top delegation team were over here before first leg at Cov mate aswel.

although i'm not doubting you, that's just rumour.
i was talking to a lad who knows pirlo last week and he's booked on the jet 2 flight into newcastle tomorrow with an uber booked to the sol.

I thought the opposite, had he known he was leaving I thought he'd have given his top away or something or made more fuss. He was patting his badge and all sorts and shouting Premier League.

It's been obvious since day one. In my mind as well because of his hesitance to "copy Jude" there's no chance he'll go to Dortmund. Red bull or Frankfurt seem much likelier possibilities.
Leipzig have a huge shortfall in cash to make up after not getting into Europe. Won't be getting big fee off them.

Where is this stuff about a buy out clause coming from? The only reference I've heard so far is that his family always negotiate one and did at Dortmund for Jude (they didn't, Jude Bellingham didn't have a buyout clause at Dortmund). I have seen an article from December (Chronicle) however that says Jobe doesn't have a buy out clause in his latest safc contract.

Personally I'm dubious about the Dortmund connection in general, it sounds more like a nice media narrative and the timing of it's release is a bit iffy (he's just been featured in a very high profile game).
It would be a shame if he goes, but this media interest is mainly driven by his second name Imo.

I'm more reminded of the guff about Riggs first contract and him going to Newcastle than the Watson transfer
