Of course he has his test record in India for a seam bowler is nothing short of superb. Jimmy Anderson is a very good test cricketer and anybody who has either played the game or hasnt taken up test cricket in 2005 would say the same.

Pyjama cricket is as much far removed from test cricket as ballet is from Rugby League.
 
Just watched the Bangladesh game, how the fuck did we lose that FFS? Well, he's one clue, Jimmy Anderson was absolutly f***ing garbage
 
I agree that Anderson is a tremendous talent (probably our second best fielder as well), but he's all over the place at the moment. I think that we have to go with Tremlett against the Windies.

His record in the sub continent is 12 wickets @ 45

Jimmy is a decent test cricketer who is unplayable in the right conditions and absolutely abysmal in unfavourbale conditions

A bit harsh. While the conditions in the Ashes suited him more than normal Aussie conditions did, they were still a million miles from overcast skies at Lords.

It wasnt 35 degrees, blue skies and straw coloured wickets like it usually is all 5 days in a test over there
 
After all my defending of Jimmy in the last year or so, his performance on Friday was truly awful but to be fair he looked shot to bits. England can't afford to carry him though if he is tired and out of sorts, my only concern is that on these slow pitches Tremlett will not have enough variation and his natural length on a pitch with no pace just could sit up nicely for batsman to hit.

he missed a few of the ODI in Australia didnt he? and he has been back home a fair bit anarl....poor exscuse

He missed the first 3 ODI's to visit his newborn child so in some aspects he has had a rest but in others he probably hasn't as he will have done 2 more 24 hour flights and possibly not much sleeping when actually back at home, who knows.
