Agree with this IF its one or the other!

However I feel we still need another centre back option in this squad. If they feel the same that a Lucumi or someone of that quality is needed to challenge Alderete for the LCB spot then so be it.

If Lucumi came in and became just as good as the others then happy days!

The 'left-sided' aspect shouldn't be understated. Other than Alderete and Hjelde (who I don't think is going to cut it at this level), all the other available options are naturally right-sided players. Whilst centre-backs are not as exposed as full-backs, as Alderete demonstrates, having someone who is comfortable with their left foot is a distinct advantage, particularly when switching play from one side of the pitch to the other.

Aye, we are a far better team with Mukiele at RB imo. Then Ballard is prone to knocks and Alderete looked out on his feet against Brentford.

Not going to start questioning our recruitment now, but surely a direct winger with pace would be more valuable to the current squad? Hes not exactly been a top defender this season either.
