Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour


In all reality Jhon knows its a huge opportunity for a huge wage increase and to play in the best League on the planet.

He needs to pressure the club, they'll cave eventually, his agent will be laughing all the way to the bank :lol:

I agree, that is the likely outcome. However, as stated, at present, if we chose to, we would be able to accommodate another two over-21 players without having to remove and existing player from the squad.

My own preference would be to try and move the likes of Pembele, et al on during this transfer window and then 'carry a few passengers' and retain the squad pretty much intact, at least until we know that several of our players are returning uninjured from AFCON, then look to move the more marginalised players (as per your suggestion) out during the January transfer window.

Kind of my feelings. There’s decent enough cover there. Pretty much said the same about this one. Sign this lad and we are very well stacked. To the point where, the likes of O9 will be lucky to just make the bench.

Mukiele and reinildo are not CBs. They can just provide cover.

Bringing in Lucumi allows us to have Lucumi Ballard Alderete O9 as main CB options

Seelt gets a loan maybe. If not O9 covers a few positions.

We’ve only got one top CB and that’s Alderete. Ballard could be but has to be consistent with fitness too

I was quite confident when it looked like his contract was up next year. I hadn’t realised there was an option for Bologna to add another year.
I think Bologna will draw this out as long as possible with no real pressure to sell now. They might end up keeping him or selling him on deadline day. The longer it goes on the more chance there is of another club trying to sign him as well. Club’s may miss out on their first choice or get injury’s meaning they might suddenly become interested.
