Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour

Think it will average out across the squad at around 40-50k/week. So say 2.5m year x 25. Just over 60m/year on first team player salaries. Think we’re OK.
This is where it gets tricky
Alderette looks like the best centre half in the world , judging by saturday.
If he's on less than 50k pw, which I'm pretty sure he will be , he will then demand parity.
And if mukiele starts playing also.
They are all similar age and quality (hopefully)

Forgot which player it was we signed about 15 years ago and he spoke of his playing style and it was the complete opposite when I saw him play for us.

People take the word of foreign experts sky use as gospel. Like how is he meant to know about every player in South America ffs and even the ones who don’t even play over there.

Sky use a European expert who knows every player in France as well as the Ukrainian league
See Burstow's quote when he joined Hull City

So now our first team squad looks a little like

Roefs/Patterson

Hume/Mukiele

Reinildo/Cirkin/Masuaku

Ballard/Alderete/Lucumi/ O Nien?

Xhaka/Sadiki/Diarra/Le Fee/Rigg/Neil

Adingra/Talbi/Roberts/ Mundle

Mayenda/Guiu/Isidor

24 man squad there. Allowed 25, and honestly looking at it I can't see which position we'd go for. I'm all for putting faith in the front 3, why wouldn't you when two of them have just scored in the opening day, if a striker is to be replaced though it'd be Isidor. 4 strikers in a squad for one position just wouldn't work.
Sadiki, Rigg and Talbi don't need to be registered as they're under-21, so room for another few if we get them in before we start to worry about who to leave out of the squad.

Why would you think (be sure ) he is on less
Besides if he has signed on dotted line..
I would think Ballard and Hume are well behind Alderete and Reinildo
Notwithstanding Aldorete will have at least doubled his dosh after leaving getafe
Net is what was said.
So close to double that
40% tax on first 58k pw, so if it is being netted I assume he is getting 60k pw in his mitt

Because having 5 or so players on 5/6 million a yr is not sustainable for us is I wouldnt think

He will want to renegotiate the contract he signed less than a week ago?

Okay, just trying to understand this. The line is that we have put the €28 million release clause amount on the table, but we waited until the clause expired in order that we can pay by instalments.

But, if the release clause has expired, then Bologna could in theory say no and ask for more.

I’m hoping that, for whatever reason, we have now in the end offered the whole original amount in one payment, albeit late, in order to make it more attractive to Bologna than hanging on for an instalment arrangement.

Would you be happy playing in a team when the fella next to you was on more than double what you are on?
And especially if you think youre better than him

I think all the players would understand xhaka being on more - he's a player that brings so much. But aye, Reinaldo , mukiele and alderette wouldn't be too happy if someone similar to them came on twice as much wedge

I think we offered the release fee in installments and now we wait for Lucumi's agent to pressure Bologna in accepting the offer as he doesn't want to accept a new contract there and he'll be off for free next summer. Bologna can only stall to see if anyone offers more but they're running out of time.

Where did you get 3 million from ?
If it’s the post by Andy, it says 3 million net

This one
The Italian journalist who reported it this morning. Nicolo something?

Thanks for the link. Sounds like a high salary. I wouldn’t be surprised if something was being lost in translation.
