Not sure why we would spend £10m on Alderete then upwards of £30m for another left sided CB. Unless I’m missing something. Right sided CB and a striker should be the priority now.

No. Italiano requested 2 starters for each position 'cause he wants a big rotation to play in our 4 competitions.
Lucumì and Heggem now are the 2 left-footed CB, as Vitik and Casale are the other 2 right-footed CB.
