If there's no new player in, we'll just have to do the best with what we've got, and that to me means trying to make the least changes as possible. It'll be hard enough on the lads playing in their normal roles.

Fair enough. I can't recall him ever standing out. He makes the odd run and that's it. He's physically pretty week and has looked technically poor in pre-season - although I accept that he's come off a really long lay off. We'll have to agree but I feel he is the most over rated on here within our current squad. Its almost like absence makes the heart grow fonder.

He's only played limited minutes in friendlies after over a year out. Time will tell

I'm really not sure. If he left us I could see him slide down the leagues. However, overall his injury record will ultimately cost him. He'll be 25 in December and has played a total of 29 first team games. Poor lad will be luck to get to a career 100, although I hope I'm wrong.

And that, as you've so brilliantly put it is why he, along with a couple of others need to go. Good players they may be but not able to play and as such a drain on our resources.

I'd Imagine we send him out on loan hoping he can get a full season under his belt. Wrexham maybe a decent shout as they are interested in all the Welsh players

Watched a bit of Bologna over the last few seasons and keep up fairly regularly with seria A. When I’ve seen him he’s been very decent. The Italian football podcast I listen to describe him as one of the best defenders in seria a.

Playing well as a defensive midfielder in the SPL doesn’t mean he’s going to all of a sudden become a premier league defender.

He was also pretty mediocre as a defender in the SFPL - his performances picked up after he was shifted to DM.
