Lindelof has missed over 20 games due to muscle injuries in each of the last two seasons and last played over 20 league games in a season in 2021/2022.

That alone would be enough to put me off.
 
Has any credible sources said anything since we were supposed to be close to a deal?

I’ve seen the reports he isn’t interested but I doubt we would have made multiple bids without checking with his agent he fancied the move first

Think a few other clubs may have started taking an interest in him since we first made contact.
 
Think Bologna wanting to keep him is the issue. They’re just trying to get to the end of the window then tie him to new deal however he’s told them he don’t be signing apparently. Rumours are he wants to play in Spain but from what can gather no Spanish clubs come in for him. Think we are the only club with firm offer but think both club and player seem to be stringing it along whilst waiting for offers. Looks a tough one to complete as Bologna also renowned for being difficult to deal with in transfers hence latest reports saying any deal is “on hold”. Could still happen but seems reliant on other clubs not coming in for him. I think it’s bollocks he “turned us down” but do think he’s stalling waiting for offers that suit him more. All told possibly not the profile we want if he’s pissing about.

So far, Bologna hasn't received a positive response from the Colombian defender's entourage. Sunderland is the club pushing hardest to sign him in this transfer window. The English club has reportedly made an offer of €20 million and is willing to raise it if Bologna rejects it.

Bologna is willing to make him a €2 million contract extension offer. Sunderland is also pushing, and Lucumí is currently analyzing the deal. These will be key days for either deal to be completed. The defender knows it's crucial to make the right decision because the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada is coming up, and although he's a regular in Néstor Lorenzo's starting XI, the player doesn't want to give away any advantage.

Think the 2 year left on his contract and that we’ve lodged a firm offer might cause to club to cave in. Time will tell. But the lad’s character seems to be questionable.

He looking like a no from me now, move on and find someone with better attitude.

Signing like Xhaka should mean we attract ambitious player who want to play for the club (we wish..).
