I'd like to see a CB come in soon like. Great getting these other signings in early but i'd argue the centre back pairing is the most important on the pitch for needing time to develop a relationship. If ballard could get a good few friendlies alongside a new CB partner it could be huge come the start of the season

Speakman recently said that the model was designed to get us to the prem and now we’re there it can be tweaked to suit. Be a good signing and 27 isn’t ancient especially in the premier league.

20 odd million for a player not even in his prime that was one of the reasons Bologna overperformed so much last season seems a bargain.

Don't know the amounts involved regarding release price , but for Bologna why not wait a day and see if anyone is willing to pay that price if no ones coming close to it, you never know someone might panic buy .

Yes but generally not quite as simple as just 'value'. More typically if we are paying a fee it is because we feel there is a good chance of resale value down the line. Of course they may make exceptions (and this may be the kind of exception they'll make) but they haven't really done it before.
