Jason Steele

Steele's nerves were absolutely shot at Sunderland, the scene in Sunderland Til I Die is genuinely upsetting. I saw him play for the U21s v West Ham at Dagenham and he looked good, excellent handling and in command of his box. On that performance I thought he was was our best option saw him v Millwall soon afterwards and he was all over the shop with no confidence. He was desperate to do well and failed as all of our goalies did that season, he was still a better option than Camp. I am pleased for him that he has been able to put all that behind him and find a niche for himself, he has clearly got some good qualities.

Some players get stick because they were poor and didn't seem to care, Steele gets stick because he wasn't very good but he obviously cared.
