If he's going to throw in a wildcard 5th keeper who will eventually be dropped from the squad, why not give that experience to a younger up and coming keeper who might actually benefit from the call - rather than a lad who is probably not going to play a minute of football for the foreseeable.
 
Guys he'll be going as the 4th keeper

You must have 3 keepers in the squad, so if one gets injured you may replace them. That's his role

In all likelihood he'll be there as a banter man and helper for the squad, like Mooreo is for us, with no expectation of playing. But if one of the lads gets injured he'll warm the bench as the third keeper

I'm guessing the benefit he would bring to training etc
 
Be so they can play training games the same way as they do with Pickford patterns of play from the keeper with feet etc he’s the only one capable playing like that
