Jared Gillet

I don’t think he was bias, just massively incompetent.

As the weeks role on marra i think it proves my point more that the job is obviously a lot harder than most footy fans think. Also think once people see the replay they judge the decision given on the various replays anx not the one time the official seen it

Just for clarity no excuses for var missing that penalty today

The pen was ridiculous given we've got VAR to sort out those sorts of errors

has Regis said anything yet? Away at the min and it cut straight off after game but thought it might be the first time we have seen him lose the plot. Fair play if he’s did his usual shake hands and off, better man than me

Probably already covered but he doesn’t give a foul for Le Fee in the box but then Xhaka gets the same not 10 seconds later and he blew for it?

The commentator wife is saying ‘there’s a higher threshold for a penalty’ since when?

Do they just make up rules as they go along these days? Like last week when they decided offsides don’t count if the pen’s going to be given against Sunderland.

So blatant pen turned down. Adams flies into Xhaka out of control, if Hume say makes that tackle the red comes out straight away.

Then, and I know it’s ’minimum time added on’ but it was like he was just playing to see how many times they could put the ball in the box at the end.

Incompetent, arrogant fuck

He's was shocking. Seemed like he just wanted to be involved in the game instead of letting play go on.

Or the ref Rob, he was perfectly placed to give the decision. That was not hard.

Marra, ive said it a penalty. Whilst VAR lads should get a proper bollocking the ref should get marked down for that too
Just because it's a hard job doesn't mean we should ignore when a referee is evidently not up to the job

And clearly a nob

Are any of them up to the job? They are make make mistakes on a regular basis

It's an absolute disgrace. Totally bottled it. Can't defend this as the ref had the chance to view it, but either bottled it or?
VAR needs to be give pen appeal footage (a) with the team colors, stadium background and player identities anonymized and (b) with no knowledge of what the on-field call was.

Some are up to the job, some aren't.. They all make mistakes. The fact that it's a hard job and that some mistakes are inevitable shouldn't preclude a judgement call that some of the people doing that job are f***ing useless.

Being a football manager is a hard job. That doesn't prevent people from deciding, for example, that Tony Cottee should never be allowed to manage a professional football club so long as the sun heats the solar system

Do you actually go to the trouble of assessing Gillets performances week in week out?
