You can argue all you want about fouls given, not given etc but if was biased surely he'd find a way for Man City to win the game?
It’s an unconscious bias. The likes of silva asking for a foul swayed him more than mundle or cirkin. Then he’d give them a cheeky wink and pat on the back. In awe of them.

I’m fine if a ref wants to let the game flow (think Leeds was like that) so long as it’s consistent across the game for both teams. They got several soft decisions which even the sky commentary pointed out, which is very unusual, despite him letting a lot go elsewhere. As others have said, allowing encroachment etc for city and not us.

No one thinks he’s out to get us, but somethings influencing his decisions and I can only think it’s starry eyes.

There were 15 fouls because he wasn’t giving fouls. That’s what everyone is complaining about. He wasn’t giving obvious fouls or foul throws. He wasn’t requiring free kicks be taken near the right place.
I understand that. I watched a fast and very entertaining game with lots of end-to-end action because the ref kept the whistle in his pocket and let the players decide the outcome. If you would prefer to watch a slow, stop and start game where the ref calls every infraction then that's your choice. We got a great result and unless you are claiming that the referee denied us a victory (he didn't) I'm not sure what the point of the thread is!

Missed at least one handball. Allowed them yards and yards on two throw ins and a free kick and another thrown in, one of their players had a ball in hand therefore should have been classed as being in play. Bollocked our lot for stepping forward a yard on one throw in on the half way line. Seemed to let them get away with anything

That Adingra booking was a joke. His studs literally touched Foden's studs while Adingra was mid stride

Didnt help the skinny little prick hit the deck and rolled about like the bloke from American Sniper had sent from 800 yards away.

He missed some obvious fouls and a few handballs by Man City. I was in the concourse, and I could see those fouls from all the way up there, even with my piss poor eyesight. Gillette isn’t very sharp.

The one on mundle near the end had me raging. I think their players clipped his heels 3 times before he was finally barged over and he still played on.

Adingras yellow card was embarrassing as well. Barely even touched Fodens foot - so the yellow is 100% the ref going off fodens reaction. Not even worth stopping the game for never mind giving a card
Bridges said Adingra raked his boot down Fodens achilles.🙄

Thought he gave us one on the touchline which was an actual foul but us and we got the throw. Also haven't seen it in detail but thought he might have fancied a yellow for Hume for that challenge. He gave the free kick. Anyone got a clip of it?

Favourite bit was adding a minimum of 4 minutes added time then blowing in the 93rd minute 🤣🤣🤣

Man is a narcissist and woefully incompetent, should not berefereeing PL matches. But… the FA have brought him over from Australia so will die in a ditch over this!
