Jared Gillet

The one on mundle near the end had me raging. I think their players clipped his heels 3 times before he was finally barged over and he still played on.

Adingras yellow card was embarrassing as well. Barely even touched Fodens foot - so the yellow is 100% the ref going off fodens reaction. Not even worth stopping the game for never mind giving a card

The one in the in the 2nd half given against Cirkin was absolutely unbelievable. Cirkin trying to carry the ball forward from LB, is being constantly pulled back, finally shakes off the player fouling him - who then falls over - and City get a freekick 😄
That was absolutely bizarre! No idea how a player running away with the ball can foul a player behind him

Worst - and most biased - refereeing display I can ever remember seeing. He wasn’t even trying to hide it. Once the “you’re not fit to referee” chant went up he then went even more biased.

Missed some clear fouls in the 2nd half and the double handball was frustrating. He missed these because he's a human being and it happens. Calling him a cheat is ridiculous, how does him being a 'cheat' work exactly, is he being payed off the books at Man City or something 🤔
But if pilots or surgeons are shot at their job, they tend not to keep it.

He was clearly biased.

Well, we just got a great result against ManC despite an apparently biased, incompetent referee and we need to complain about something. That was a hard fought game (mostly by us, as we were very aggressive in trying to win the ball) but I appreciated the fact that he let the players play rather than keeping the whistle in his mouth. There were only 15 fouls (9 to us, 6 to them) and two yellows (one each). Guardiola was questioning a lot of calls as well. And at the end one of our players (no doubt O'N) was clearly interfering with a throw but nothing was called. It wasn't a master class in refereeing but it really didn't affect the result and made the game a lot more entertaining than it could have been.

Not a great comparison really. I'm only commenting on what I saw today, he wasn't great at times but the headline that I would think people would focus on is the defensive performance and continued unbeaten run at home. Some people are desperate to blame the ref at any opportunity and make out like its us against the world

Finally someone speaking sense!
