Jan Paul van Hecke (rumour)

Think this about sums up BBC Newcastle. They clearly just misread/misinterpreted Michael Walkers tweet and posted this.

Aye totally wrong this. Van Hecke likes to live by the sea. He has a young missus and a dog and he likes to go for walks on the beach with them, separately or together. Rotherham is nowhere near the sea so van Hecke has ruled them out. If it can't be Brighton, it has to be us (or somewhere else with a beach).

After that pile of rocks that passes for a beach in Brighton, Sunderland will be like St Tropez.

Brighton beach is all pebbles. Whereas all our beaches are golden sands from Blackhall to Berwick.

This sums up the modern, lazy media, in many cases.
They just trawl through fan sites, Twitter and social media and then try and write an authoritative piece as though they are the source.

BBC Saudi Arabia here providing a fine example of this.
