Jamie Vardy

Personally I would love Welbeck and Hendo and that would be it in terms of ageing, experienced pros. The rest would hopefully be young, hungry gems from overseas.

Regardless of the football, age, or financial side of things, I don't think he's the type of personality the club would be looking to bring in.

It's took a single promotion back to the top flight for a few to be desperate to go back to how we were previously ran in the Premier League. Inevitable.
This. Not saying we shouldn't sign any experience, but mainly we want to keep buying good young players (but obviously better than we could attract in the championship). That way, if the worst happens, we'd likely recoup most of our outlay, meaning we'd go to the championship with vast amounts of money, parachutes on top, and in a great position to continue building. As he proved this season, even at a club he loves, Vardy isn't exactly a guarantee of staying up!, a good squad of younguns might have just as much chance. Plus I don't think we'd really make many chances for a vardy-type player

I was thinking the about Welbeck, surely the possibility of scoring the winner against the caliphate would be enuff to tempt him
