Jamie Vardy in the England Squad

I don't understand all the fuss, he's not going to get in any future squads he's just benefited from Leicester's good run at the end of the season and so is in a bit of form and all the other options are either injured or have been included in the U21 squad for the Championships. Who else was there? People saying Wickham is laughable, he shouldn't even get a game for us!

How does Townsend of mason get in? At the very least there's players like puncheon who have never had the chance but out perform those two week in week out.

As for Vardy.. How embarrasing

Regardless of how Townsend plays for Spurs, or even how often, he does well for England which means he should always be in. I've always believed we should pick the best for the England team rather than whoevers simply in form.

Vardy can be lucky mind.

We have a tradition of supplying England with great strikers.

Lineker, then Heskey and now Vardy like. :lol:

It's a bit of a fairytale for the lad as he was playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels (whoever they are) at 23 and now five years on he's 28 and playing for Leicester & England. He's Gareth Bale quick and an unbelievable work rate but the rest of his game is average at best for PL level.

It's not often you see England internationals nowadays that have started in the non leagues so good luck to him but I can't see Real Madrid prising him away any time soon either.

:lol::oops::oops:

Vardy embarrassing but Puncheon should be given a chance.

Bishop Mackem has spoken. Be quiet and listen to the great man, this guy knows a footballer when he sees one.:lol: @Mrjardine
