It shows the current state of the club. A complete mess. Bain said we had to be better in buying players then proceeded to allow Moyes to sign 13 players. A lot with no resale value.

A completely different kettle of fish in my view. We were desperate to stave off relegation and he looked to pick up players he knew on short term deals, people we could easily shed should the worst happen. We're on a rebuild now. This lad will probably be asking for an upgrade on his money and a three year deal.

Longhorn stated, we were looking for players to get the careers back on track.....

Fair comment and it's only fair to see who else comes in. Until then we don't know what role this lad will be expected to play in terms of our long term strategy.

You, once again seeked me out!

So who is the dopey school kid?

Your intelligence is on par with Cattermoles!
Seeked you out? I replied to a post you made. That's how these forums work. I've just replied to nemo on another thread (admittedly he doesn't post complete and utter bollocks like you do), did I seek him out?

I'd say this is similar. If we sign McGeady and Vaughan that will be 4 signings 3 of which he's managed before. Going for the cheap 'what you know' option.
Moyes had been out of the game a while, in his words, watching a lot of football and having last managed in Spain. It's astonishing we only went for these players he knew. Imo like

Managers tend to do that to fill critical positions, it makes sense. Thing is though the likes of Cloughie bought youngsters like Todd and O'Hare. :)

Can see why you're in for him. Grayson likes big, physical strikers and always signs players that he's worked with before.

By the way, you may think Grayson is getting players he knows in as he's just taken the job and wants to steady the ship, but he does it most transfer windows.

He's pretty lazy casting his net for signings but usually makes it work.

Lower leagues!

Nice to see you back! ;)

Bargain for 900k IMO.

Experienced player, still only 28 (29 tomorrow I believe) and on the back of a very good season, albeit in the division below.

Can't imagine he's going to be the main striker and he won't be on huge wages.

If he gets 10 goals or so over the season it's good business for us. If not then it's not exactly big money wasted.

If you look at his record, in any season he has played a lot of games he's had a good return on goals. Keep him fit and he'll do us just fine for where we are at as looks full of confidence at the moment.

We need to get used to a different perceived calibre of name if we are to put the club back on a stable footing. The likes of Bournemouth and Burnley show that in the right environment and with right mentality, some of these perceived lesser players can do a cracking job. Grayson is all about getting players back on track and getting them punching above their weight, so I look forward to seeing it.

It will make a great change seeing the likes of Januzaj & Borini prancing around the place thinking they are too good for us.
