I already have and this season never mind all time, but you dismiss anything because "it's not the same circumstances".

If your real question is, "who has done a better job with a team who had an embargo and were nearly relegated last season", then I'm not sure there is anyone else with those specific circumstances.

I just think yeh well done Coventry for example but it's where a team has come from in the previous season to this given the restrictions, it's a lot easier for lampard to win the league given the base and financial side he had to start or work with,

Hull were 24 points better off than last season. They got into the playoffs having lost 33% of their games this season and the playoffs were the worst they've been since I remember.

Coventry were 26 points better off than last season on a £3m net spend and won the league.

It's much harder to go from good to great than it is to go from bad to decent imo. And that is all Hull are. They're decent. They're not a good team, they don't play good football.

Still scored only 1 less than Ipswich who spent a fortune, it's not harder to go from playing offs to league winners, than staying up on the last day to play off winners having spent zero, look at the coin Coventry spent on just Simms for example nevermind the others

Disagree. You can lose 33% of games and still make the playoffs. The best team in the playoffs can get disqualified. You can have a lot of good fortune. You don't win the league through luck.

Lampard was excellent mind from where they were when robins left but still think they had an excellent squad so would say this guy did better, irrelevant away can't see either stopping up

Coventry have the second most expensively assembled squad ever at Championship level for a non-parachute payment club.

They've spent €75m in the last three seasons.

Peter Reid did a better one, saved us from relegation the last few games of 94/95 finishing 4th bottom then had us promoted as champions the very next year.
It was lowest amount of goal we had conceded in a full season since 1900/01 when we played just 34 games.

If the league is a lot weaker, can this Hull achievement go down as one of the best ever at this level as was suggested?

I'm not saying the Coventry achievement is especially impressive, I just couldn't be arsed to go back through every championship performance of all time, to argue against this Hull achievement.

Been far more impressive promotions from the championship but he has done well think Hull is just a stepping stone for the manager, the recruitment team are the real stars imho
