It's some going like. Stayed up last year on goal difference, all kinds of transfer embargoes to promotion the next year.

Can't recall a turnaround in circumstances like that.

One of the best jobs done ever at this level

Seems a bit of a stretch. They were a good team the year before last as well. Last year was an aberration rather than their true position. Then in the playoffs, it's falling into Hull's lap with 3 teams not performing to the level required.

He's still done a good job but that's as far as I'd go.

Embargo though and surviving last day last season, it's a very different squad as well

That does not make it one of the best jobs ever. They scraped into the playoffs. There's teams won that league with over 100 points.
I think in terms of where they finished season before and the restrictions of what they could spend it is can you think of many better

When you start qualifying it by specific terms, you're narrowing the playing field.

With a net spend of £3m, Coventry scored 26 more points than last season and won the title. That takes consistency and top performances every single week.

I don't see Hull as even the best performance this season, let alone one of the greatest of all time.

Coventry had a far better squad to work with thanks to the money they spent

He's done fantastic but the underlying data of their season suggests they've been very lucky...they aren't good enough to be promoted albeit they have done, but I think they have a big challenge to reach 20 points next season.
