Shocked. Thought he would carry on playing tests for another two years and have a go at Tendulkars record. Going to play 1 dayers till the 2015 world cup.
Probably the greatest all rounder of his generation and in the the top 3 of all time imo.

Kallis is The greatest cricketer of my generation born 63 and I've seen most although was quite young watching Sobers (Barbados V Yorkshire) at Scarborough the player every youngster should inspire to be

I'm struggling to understand your point frankly

Arguing they are good or crap?
Considered some of the best batsmen ever, richards played 4 tests pollock low 20s. There stats are obviously nowhere near the likes of ponting kallis et al but people hold the opinion of them so highly to this day. Think benaud had richards in his greatest XI.

Anyway kallis isn't the best all rounder, best in my lifetime but sobers will always be the correct answer.

Exceptions will always exist. Richards and Pollock for fairly obvious reasons

Stats are a good indication tho

The most underrated cricketer ever. A superb bat and genuinely good first change bowler.

and that is no mean feat for someone largely considered to be on the of the best cricketers in the world/ever[DOUBLEPOST=1388405528][/DOUBLEPOST]
Of muralis 800 wickets 612 came in the sub continent.
Warne had 319 wickets in Aus out of 708.

Don't really need to say anything else

:lol: lies, damn lies and statistics.

murali played 29 tests outside the subcontinent, warne played 119, their averages were 25.85 and 25.13 respectively... pretty damn close.

i'm not going to argue who is better or who is worse mind.
