Jack Ross

He was a total bottler of a manager mind. That Charlton OG had him absolutely shitting himself then he basically had us go 6-3-1 to try protect it

Genuinely think the Mags have done it just to try pretend they’ve “done us”
Mind 90%of thst stadium was confused af about that goal. Turned to my mate to say something. All of sudden a sort of half confused cheering. Turned round and the they were getting the ball out of the net

He wasn't far off. The way he squandered the chance of automatic promotion was fairly spectacular and that's without the 3 minute gift at Wembley where he again lost this arse.
An immense bottlejob and they're welcome to him.

I think he was pretty bad. We really should have got up that year. Ok, the Championship clowns were in a league of their own, but he was on a par with Parkinson and Johnson for me.

He was awful here. If I remember correctly it started of alright but he quickly became to defensive and negative. I think it might have been after the Coventry home game. The play off final still pisses me off. Gifted a goal and he tried to defend it for the whole game. Poor coach

We were better under Johnson than Ross, by quite a bit as well imo. Parky started and ended absolutely horrifically and that was the L1 low point, but somewhere in between he had us playing better football than under Ross as well with the 343.

Ross does seem like a decent bloke, but not too surprised he's taken the blood money, any port in a storm, it sums up where his career is.
