he hasnt got that many options to work with. the squad pretty much picks itself. Maja saga has also been an unwelcome distraction and its also concerning the way we set up around him.

I think he has done an excellent job to get us into this position, but he needs a spark from somewhere

Doesn't matter what tactics he wants us to play, Most of the team seem unable to pass the ball to another Sunderland player, Far to many misplaced passes.

Could it be the players have sussed him out and just arent having him? Not that thats any excuse for them like but performance levels would naturally drop if they arent convinced of his approach / tactics ?

I’m not sure about sussed, something is amiss though. The amount of aimless hoofs up the pitch today was pathetic.

Some posters on here going over the top by saying he's being slagged off.....He's not and is open for criticism!

On the whole the team is slow, poor technically and void of idea's, a stark contrast to the way he likes to build his teams.

At the beginning of the season not one person on here could say they would be unhappy with third position at this stage & a game in hand on the top 2 potentially taking us within a point of 1st
Absolute fannies
but plenty would could say they would be unhappy with not creating anything, playing without any apparent philosophy, stagnating, and not winning games
