As for some other stuff in this thread, there is literally zero chance of McKenna being sacked. And to suggest he’s been ‘found out’ is also ridiculous. We had 6 starters last week who played for us against Exeter on the last day of our League 1 season. To even have us competing (1 win off the dotted line at halfway is competing) is a testament to how good a manager he is. Back to back promotions in the parachute payment era where the quality and gulf between the championship and premier league is enormous is a superb job. Even if we go back down as plenty of our fanbase expect we might, McKenna would be taking up a job at the likes of Spurs. He was already approached for the Chelsea job remember and offered the Brighton and Crystal Palace jobs previously. Nothing that has happened this season detracts from that.

Good luck with the rest of the season. Still hope yous go up despite reading stuff like ‘Pisswich Town’ in this thread which is nothing short of embarrassing in all honesty.

You signed a load of players who were good championship players but none have made the step up other than Delap, you've basically signed 6 Adam Armstrongs
The 2 center halves aren't PL class, I think your left back is hopelessly exposed at this level, (look what Murphy did to him the other day)
Out of players you signed only Delap & Hutchison look like they'll get PL moves when you go down, & I believe Delap has a 20m buy back clause
You had a chance of staying up before Wolves peddled O'Neil but your'e doomed now.

Same problem as every promoted team has, either blast huge amounts on players to compel them to sign because of big wages or a series of punts on players who you hope will make it but don’t bust the bank and can be held onto in the probable case of relegation giving a decent chance of bouncing back.
If / when we get promoted we will be in the exact same place, where most of the team probably aren’t prem quality, but you then have to make the same choices

Ignore the daft comments. It's a stage thing dome do on here hence poocastle etc it's just the young uns humour.

I think the only reason any would assume we would possibly have a better chance of staying up(if we go up ) is our team would have another years experience to build slowly.many remember when we lost the play off final v Charlton and then won the league the ne t season and finished 8th 2 season running with that team.

A few players like quinny has said it probably did our team the world of good not going up but the signings of Clarke, szemodics and Delap seemed cracking signings to me (clever in the point if relegated proven capable players who won't down tools etc)

I hope yous stop up and Clarke foes great as he ran his heart out for us, didn't sulk when we turned down Burnleys off a season before and I'm sure we have aggod sell on percentage so good luck to Ipswich and Clarke.his agent Harte is a bit of a pleb mind

I probably saw you in Woodall Services on my 500 mile round trips. ;)

Could not face it these days. Didn't mind the drive up but the drive back in the dark from Oct to Feb was not nice - especially when I was the only one awake in the car.:cry:

I think we'd get f***ing murdered if we went up.
 
What happens If Ipswich get relegated which Is looking likely, can't see him getting another premier league move. Good luck to the lad though he was brilliant for us
