Jack Clarke

crazy not playing him out wide. Manager needs hooking
Mental. His absolute obvious standout talent is dribbling at pace. Sure he had most carries into the penalty box when he was with us over 2 seasons in the championship.

Was an eye opener when we played the scum and Tripper just follows him everywhere. Never once let him get going. Totally nullified him.

Playing more centrally where it’s more congested, like he does at Ipswich blunts him massively.

Totally wasted at Ipswich.

Went for the prem contract and a go at the premier league. Hasn’t worked out but will be on decent money.

He’s made his decision. Best of luck to him and we move on with Adingra & Mundle. 8-)

I don't think so.
Very good player for us in a very average side.
Sold by spurs and Leeds. Awful first season with Ipswich.
Superb business by the club. He reached his top with us.
We've moved on.

Would he fare any better here now? Over pre season it looked to me as if our wide players are being asked to spend a little more time as inside forwards. Both Adingra and Talbi have been drifting inside more (Not just to shoot like Jack) and Roberts has been doing so too. I suspect we may have tweaked our system a little. Early days and I may be wrong mind. :)
I personally think it has been the opposite and they’ve been asked to get chalk on their boots a bit but are used to coming inside. Talbi is used to playing on the left and cutting onto his right and Adingra the same. I think they’ve both been asked to go at their man on the outside.

Just watched the play off final again the other day, and its lovely seeing all the lads stopping on the way up the stand for the trophy to hug and have a quick word with him. Shows what good group we fostered of the couple of seasons
First I've heard about that. Didn't even realise he was there. Nice.

Great to see him getting what he deserves. Believed his own hype, not laughing anymore is he.
A career as an entertaining professional footballer at a high level being paid wages most of us can only dream of?

Aye, that'll teach the fucker for... I'm not sure what to be honest.

He was pretty awful against Birmingham on Friday night as well, although he was far from alone in that respect in an Ipswich shirt. A huge shame to see what's happened to him there but don't ever see it working out for him whilst McKenna is still manager.
Comments from Ipswich fans were far from kind during their last game in the cup too, not working out for him there at all

Im sure you can have your own meaning for football terms but I'm sure the generally accepted moden description of an inside forward is positionally outside and makes runs in for a shot or pass, what he was for us. Or an inside winger who generally cuts inside and operates in the channel, crossing more often than the forward.

I haven't seen him for Ipswich much at all but if he isn't at the very least starting out wide, then it isn't the position of an inside forward, at least I'm my understanding of the terminology.

Clarke is more of an inverted winger. Natural wingers play on their natural side and generally look to go on the outside, and an inside forward is essentially a striker who starts in one of the channels/half spaces areas.

An inverted winger starts wide but generally plays on the 'wrong' side, hence their desire to cut inside. That's Clarke.

Also, can everyone just put Diallo on ignore - clearly just a WUM.
