Jack Clarke

Clarke was a superb player for us, i hope he does well in the PL. Him leaving has hopefully helped us financially and given the opportunity for a better player to come through.

All the best to Clarkey, but onwards and upwards for us.
Good player who done well for us but overrated by many on here.

Players come and go all of the time in football and let’s not kid ourselves getting to eat at the big table is almost always about money. Clarke is no different and when you get that chance you have to take it as that chance might not come around again. He’s gone now and we have Mundle so I’m not bothered.

Clarke was arguably the best winger in the championship, hence why he's now playing in the premier league.
Unfortunately he isn't much. He's mostly a bench warmer for a poor Ipswich side. I'm sure he'll get his chance and then we'll see if he can cut it at that level with that club.

Early days but you can't knock Mundle. Excellent performances and more goals than Clarke would have scored. 3 in 3 games is better than Clarke ever achieved here.

My take on it is that Clarke and Sunderland was a great fit, the only issue was that we had Mundle and Watson champing (not chomping) at the bit behind him. Clarke may settle and thrive at Ipswich but he may not, there's still time in his career to see him back with us. He's a genuine lad who may go on to realise this is the best club for him.

Find this a bit harsh

It’s hardly uncommon for a new signing to start from the bench. Isidor is a good example.

A good start from Mundle doesn’t suddenly make him a better player, Clarke did it over much longer

The overreaction when he went from this place to the overreaction the other way is baffling. The reality is that he was superb for us, and we are worse without him

Isidor is having to wait for his chance here for 2 reasons. Our side is (was) winning and the people playing in his positions Mayenda and Mundle are playing very well.

Clarke's side has scored 2 goals in 4 games and have picked up 2 points from 4 games. It's early days but that's relegation form. Clarke is a big money signing and should be getting a start but maybe the manager doesn't trust him yet? I wouldn't be happy sitting on the bench watching my side struggle.

They’ve also made more than 10 signings, plenty on big money. He signed right at the window, it’s quite normal.

Must be lying to his family and girlfriend then, can’t think why he’d not tell a fan he was finding it tough either….
You don’t know Kieran McKenna and how Ipswich work. If there was the slightest issue with any player and that includes young Clarke then he wouldn’t be near the squad until it was sorted.

You can dismiss that with “I’d believe his family first” but I can assure you the talk of him being unsettled is not true.

It does take time to fully settle of course but he’s coming along fine. I don’t understand why one or two would like this to be untrue. He’s a kid making a career for himself.
