Jack Clarke

KLD has set the bar. Speakman is just his bodyguard for criticism

Can’t wait for this year’s pre-scripted Speakman podcast, in which he bravely presents himself for questioning by a member of his own staff.

“So, boss - end of the summer transfer window, and we must be delighted to sell Jack Clarke for buttons. Always a difficult window isn’t it, but you’ve done brilliantly wouldn’t you agree boss?”

Cash in for what? They'll lose money In the championship, even with this sale. What’s the end game as they’ll never turn a profit unless they’re in the premier league
They'll never get out of this division with the 'ambition' they're showing.

What club is going to bid £25m for him? There an only one just now bidding £15m. Nobody wants him.

Then don't sell him. Play hard ball, if a club wants him then they have to pay the going rate.

I'll never understand this attitude of Sunderland and Sunderland fans of rushing as fast as we can to put ourselves down, bend over and take it up the arse off anyone and everyone.

There is no sane person in football that would agree that Clarke's current market value is £15m. No one.

If no one is offering £25m then don't sell. Anyone who comes in for him gets a quick reply saying the price is £25m, minimum. If you don't like it, fuck off. We aren't desperate to sell, we aren't bankrupt, we are stable and we know the value of our players. Come back with a serious offer and we can talk. Play the f***ing game and stand up for ourselves. Be tough.

They've bent over and took it up royally up the hoop , yet again

This was to be expected for the model we have. Ross Stewart was sold for good money after he scored all our goals, now weve done the same with Jack Clarke after doing similar..this will always happen until we get to the Premier then it all changes as were on a level playing field in money terms.....

Mundle, Watson, Poveda....Isidor? there is plenty of potential to fill the void and hopefully we will soon forget about Clarke, thats the way it has to be unfortunately

Players come players go, thanks for your hard work Jack and good luck.
It's what we do NOW that is important, replace him with better... we already have Poveda who will prove to be good, Mundle again will be good... but another body is needed! Mitoma at Brighton might struggle for minutes and they've spent alot of money, maybe we can tempt them with a big loan fee? I believe getting a top player for just one season isn't a bad idea if it gets us promoted... give them £10million loan fee for this season, helps their PSR, he stays their player and it gets us promotion and therefore pays for itself... rather that than buy half the player for half the money and not even half the outcome.
If you’re going to spend that much of the Clarke money on a single season loan, you might as well keep Clarke

Mitoma 😂 😂 😂

Not about being skint, KLD isn’t going to put his own money into large transfers, so I accept selling one of our top players, if we can bring 2 or 3 quality players back in. That’s sustainable in the Championship. What I can’t accept is a poultry £15m, when similar quality players just sold for £30-£40m🤯
You could say that it’s chicken feed 🤣🤣🤣

Ah well that's alright then.

We've sold him for pretty much half of his market value but it's okay because someone offered 20pence and a bag of quavers previously, so it looks like we drove a hard bargain

Whether it's alright or not has nothing to do with my post, you're obviously upset but probably best sticking to the truths.. or carry on about 20pence and bags of crisps.

Firstly good luck to the lad, he has been nothing but fantastic for us since he first arrived.

Always fit and available, not one who has been a troublemaker and has been a massive part in the positives over the last 2-3 seasons. Hopefully this fee we receive will go towards 3-4 new signings with hopefully 2 of them through the door today.

With this deal and how it is a lower fee than we thought we’d get. I hope if we as a club actually have some ambition. Enough ambition to actually seriously want to go up in the next two seasons that we have included a buy back clause and that’s why the fee is low.

No disrespect to Ipswich but they’ll be back in the championship within two seasons.

I don’t want him to go and think he’s worth more, the club obviously think this is a good deal. Stewart last summer, Clarke this and it will be another big name next year. That’s how the roll with their self sustainability.
