Both aren’t frightened to spent decent on a single player in the championship though. The Clarke 12 million money will be expected to fund the next 3-4 transfer windows of signing loans and 2-3 million euro kids.Worked out ok for Coventry and Boro like
He’s not good enough for that level. We saw him against the mags, albeit that was one game. Fantastic stats at this level for goal contributions but very inconsistent delivery. He’s a luxury player who can play for 5 minutes in a 90 like at Cardiff. What surprises me is the fact none of the top teams were interested in signing him why? There was only the promoted and lower premier teams and one championship club looking at him. So is he really as good as we all think, I’m not to sure as much as I’m gutted he’s gone I don’t think he will have the success he had playing here against top premier defenders.
That would be Coventry and Boro that are no further forward?Worked out ok for Coventry and Boro like
Spot on. It’s shit for us but an opportunity to invest wisely. That’s the key bit. All on KLD Speakman and Harvey nowAll we have done is what every championship team has to do.
It’s the realities of modern football, that clubs down here have to sell. It’s a shame.
They stayed in play off contention and didn't sink to the bottom of the table like some on here are suggesting we willThe teams who went from finishing in the playoffs to not finishing in the playoffs the next season?
We are obviously skint & needed the cash to come in before we could bring a forward in.No, because they will more than likely be smart enough to keep him.
He’s unlikely to be sold in future for more than we are getting for him now. We should have held them to ransom.

McCoist not really in the same bracket. We got good deals for the majority of them. £15m is cheap and a failure of our owners' financial model and they don't have a ready made replacement. Ipswich wanted promotion, our owners didn't. Not sure Clake's agent has found him the right situation to go into but that's not our concern. Disappointing but wholly expected, especially after last season's debacle on and off the pitch.Todd-Tueart-Watson-McCoist-Bracewell-Gabbiadini-Bridges-Phillips &Co………..

He’s worth a fortune for us but not to a premier league club. I don’t think he’ll do much in the prem personally. I’d put money on him getting less than 5 goals at that level
If KLD had of put his hand in his pocket & brought in a striker before selling Clarke I’m sure we would have got more fore him next week.I guess the market sees his price as 20 million.
He’s by far our best player worth double that there’s everything to suggest we can’t be better going forwardIf it means we can get two strikers in and potentially strengthen other areas then there’s nothing to suggest we can’t be stronger for it
Other teams have had to sell players it’s what is at this level
Good chance for Mundle now who I think has got something if we give him a chance
Disappointed he’s going yes, could we of got more probably , end of the world stuff definitely not
