Jack Clarke

Does anyone think we'll have players that cost money lined up if money comes in ? I'm not sure we'll spend it in this window.

He's going to be getting a massive pay rise and playing in the Premier League, I think some are deluded if they think a player wouldn't want to go for that.
Yep football is a game all about money you got that right. Don't really begrudge anyone earning more money it's a short career.

Irrelevant to my point. Playing for a newly promoted side in the Prem isn't exactly the glamour of playing in the Prem.

He's delusional he's going to have much of an effect as he thinks. He's our best player by a mile. He's now a small fish in a big pond. Ipswich made a lot of big money signings in forward areas, he's not a guaranteed starter.

Like I said he was absolutely shite against premier league opposition not sure if he's climbed out of Trippiers pocket yet

If its reinvested that's the nature of the game. However WE'VE BEEN f***ing AWFUL at making decent signings in over 2 years.
Investing is selling the guff we have to raise funds and buying someone to compliment the team, not sell the Crown Jewels off for a nominal fee making the team far weaker

its tough isnt it, watching them week in week out and youre just knowing that when they start to progress were going to see some great football, but after 6 to 12months theyll inevitably move on. its so bitter sweet

that said, look back to 3 or 4 years ago and we could only dream of this situation. a lot of our 11 would attract healthy bids. Having a squad with such value, after having a squad of no value just a short while ago

Good post

The club will be here after Jack Clark leaves

Thank god we don’t have Marc McNulty or Kyle Lafferty

FFFFUCKKKKK OFFF! We're in the Premier League. Used to be in League One with you. Remember? That team you played at the start of last season. Should've won. Didn't. Then Broady scored that deflected first and Hirsty let go a screamer for number two. Then, while your Director of Football or whatever it is was writing off a season, because he sacked that bloke with the massive mole on his fizz, the Londoner, swarthy type, double chin, looked like he enjoyed a nice cooked brekky once too often, well, where was I? Oh yeah, because he sacked him off and left his twat sidekick, the bloke who always wore that baseball cap, in charge, and your results went south quicker than a fat bird's tits after fifty, you missed the chance to compete excitingly with Leeds and Sarfampton and do last minute jammy winners. And lo, we went up, and are therefore so minted, we could keep you as our bitch and still have enough left to buy Liam Delap for fifteen massive. That Ipswich.
Quite possibly the saddest post I’ve ever seen on here

Every penny of that fee needs to be invested in the squad by bringing in players ready for the championship or things will be incredibly toxic. The club really better have a plan in place and move quickly. If they piss about an sign unknowns again I can't see them lasting long at all.

I hope we get some kind of explanation because this just seems ridiculous. If you’re going to prioritize profits on players you develop then fine, but do that and squeeze every penny out of the deal.

There is a week left. Can only assume they don’t want to shell out on the rumored incomings and run the risk of him not going?

Can't help but feel a bit for the manager like.

No new staff
Starting the season without a recognised senior centre forward
Only one signing so far that gets in our best XI
Best player sold a week before the end of the window

I'm not as negative as most about Speakman and KLD but it's not a great look really.

I think those valuations are a bit north of what clubs would pay.

Some of the valuations attached to our players on here (and seemingly by Speakman!) are crackers. Clarke was the best of the bunch, by a distance, and we’ve taken £15m that’ll rise to £20m if he wins the Ballon D’Or. Now I think that’s on the low side but I’m not at all surprised that’s what they have accepted. They’d have taken that last season IMO
Well it’s given the fans and shock on what our players are worth that’s for sure.
Team game tho.. that’s what it’s about
