Jack Clarke

i will be very surprised if we keep a hold of him , just hope we have a decent replacement lined up proven at this level even tho replacing clarke will have a massive impact on a chance of promotion , so
to me the question to the owners is what’s the price of promotion because i think it would be more beneficial to keep
clarke and sign a few players for a push promotion and everyone wins, or at least have a go this season and if not let clarke leave in the summer

Whilst I'd be gutted if we lost Clarke, it would be even worse if he went to another club in the Championship, especially Leeds.

£15m will be the opening bid to test the waters from Ipswich. They seem to have almost unlimited funds so if McKenna wants the player I’m sure they’ll be back with higher offers.

It’s horrendous and fascinating this whole Clarke saga in equal measures.

I was completely at ease with him leaving this summer when last season ended as we seemed miles away from being able to field a side capable of even challenging for the top six.

When you watch Clarke now, refreshed, playing in a side properly coached and playing with confidence you start to think we’re not that far away.

There’ll be a touch of irony if he does go to Ipswich mind after all the posters on here last season confidently predicting Ipswich were on the road to hell, overspending and destined for bankruptcy.
reminds u a bit when we had allardyce and the team
started to look dangerous just as u where getting exited he left for england and we went to pure shit haha

Would be surprised if he went to Ipswich like, what would be the point of joining a team just to end up back in this League next season.
Chance of going back to the prem and prem wages. Nothing is guaranteed as the clubs are so strong now who have been there even a few seasons but Ipswich are giving it a good go at putting together a squad to survive.

Club will need to set a precedent that they’re aren’t an easy touch, if he does go it will be for £20m minimum.
5m to Spuds and 15 for us. That’s still be a poor sale imo, we should be looking for 25

Agreed WWii, I think that is where some of these preposterous offers and articles come from, our former reputation of accepting crap offers without a second thought. If we don't set the bar now we might as well give in. We will never mix it up with one arm behind our backs.

I know the mags hated Ashley but regardless of the player the first words out of his mouth seemed to be '40mn or f.o.'

He more often than not got his premium and we should be doing the same.

What the point in going to Ipswich when they’ll be back down next season? He’s happy here and closer to Leeds.
Ipswich is a right twat to get to
It's in the middle of nowhere and not a lot happens.
He's from York, which is only an hour down the A19.
Their football scenario is dubious, with a new mix of players and a nailed on relegation fight.
Alternatively, we have champagne football in the City by the Sea.
I think the appearance of Harte(👹) at the AoL last week might presage a new contract and a nice pay increase and promotion bonus for a very happy player.
He's a young lad with time on his side.
