Might be a compromise with Harte. He has been angling for a move for a while, presumably because he’d get a cut of the fee. Agents are generally incentivized to move players around.

We may have said well let him go for 25m, if that doesn’t materialize then there’s a contract on higher wages and a release clause which protects us from the deal running out and keeps Clarke happy as it’s more money and he’s not in a rush to leave.

Just speculating and trying to put the bits we know together into something coherent.
 
I don't see the appeal of Leeds and any of the PL newcomers or perennial struggles for Clarke.

Stay with us and he'll be a PL player sooner rather than later

The players sold had release clauses and Leeds couldn’t stop them,club with by far the biggest revenue in league with 49ners\ redbull backing them,they have money since satisfying PSR in June,red bull put £60mill into them with another 60 mill from them next season

If Leeds want him, they have brought in hundreds of millions this season so have to hold them to ransom. 25mill plus..

What are RedBull getting for this £60mn like? Just gifting it?

I’d want £60mn for them god awful shirts they’re making you wear. Could you imagine Manchester United or Liverpool letting RedBull anywhere near them? You know, genuinely big clubs in England.
