Jack Clarke

It this is true I dread the message it sends to other clubs and players; that we’ve got no intention of ever getting promoted and are happy just to make a profit even if it means selling well below the market value.

The thought of Ba or Mundle stepping up is too embarrassing to consider. I was looking forward to the Burnley but might just have to give it a miss

I’m quite surprised he’s agreed to go to Ipswich
Previously he’s said he wants to stay in the north, having said that there aren’t many northern teams in the premier league these days.

Accepting that 15+5 deal is an absolute joke

It’s beyond that mate, it’s just another show of incompetence. If the club have given Clarke their word that he could go if someone offered £15m plus add ons it shows a complete lack of understanding as to Clarke’s real worth. The lad Scott last year Championship player of the year went for £25m that should have been the starting point. I sound like a broken record but £40m for Rutter £15m for Clarke someone has got it wrong, it certainly wasn’t Leeds!!

Absolutely gutted we have lost an absolute key player, to Ipswich playing L1 five minutes ago and we lose Clarke to them!!

All in all if I’ve done it right it’s only about 3.75 million less after spurs clause then they wanted.

so not that much.

they’ve sold quick to recruit more players imo. Could we have held out and got more? Yes. Would we have had time to sign players? No

Over recent years, my expectations for our club are low, but fuck me.

The tight fisted, shortsighted mishandling of the club is a sight to behold.

We’ll end up getting about £8.54 profit out of all this, for what, a significant reduction in our chances of getting back to the premier.

f***ing staggering.
Not even enough for a pint and a packet of fags!

£20m is a piss take if we also owe Spurs 20-25% of it.

Aye, but if the only way the delay got done was the high sell on clause it is the risk/downside of how we are doing business now at the club. Benefit, get players like Clarke for 3 seasons, the downside, well a chunk of change is taking away when they are sold.
