It's Official!

Honeyman is without doubt one of the best players at this level. Can understand why we sold him (replacing him with Dobson was the stupid part), but he's clearly improved since he was with us 2 years ago, perhaps a full season in the championship outside of the safc bubble has toughened him up.

hes a very good league 1 players that’s what people see in him, should certainly make PFA team of the year, even if I would have also picked Mcgeady ahead of him (Honeyman will have better tackle stats though).
It ends up being judged on numerous criteria, one of which is effect across a whole season. It's like MVP voting in US sports. If it was the most talented player it'd go to the same person every time. Importance to a team, availability, longevity all come into it. Across the whole spectrum of reasons to vote for a player, Honeyman is a solid choice for player of the year.
