Israel / Iran - updates, no politics

I thought I’d start a thread to focus on monitoring the ongoing situation, rather than the political argument of who is to “blame”.

It’s a fair debate - but is making the actual live updates hard to follow.

Where we are now:
  • Iran launches missiles at

    after the Israeli military confirms it has carried out a number of strikes against Iranian

  • Israeli emergency services say

    in the strikes with more than 100 injured
  • US President Donald Trump but adds that a deal can "easily" be done between Iran and Israel
  • Tehran's oil ministry says the in the latest Israeli strikes
  • Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian is if Israel doesn't stand down

Tbf, Iran have threatened to attack us if we assist Israel and we have thousands of troops in Cyprus. Who knows what will be considered "assisting".
 
Was just saying last night to the Mrs I'm glad we didn't book Cyprus this year for our holidays.

First time we went, 12 years ago and I actually didn't know where it was till I looked at the map the day before we went, I thought it was like the canary Islands way on, nearly shat myself when I realised its like 100 mile from Lebbanon
 
I've colleague in work who is expected to go on posting Tehran and I know someone already there. Also, I know a lass working in the embassy in Tel Aviv. We heard they are OK but I hope they are on the next flight out of there.

I was hoping to keep this apolitical and just about actual updates, much like the Ukraine/Russia thread.

The other thread is a huge debate (which is fine) but makes update posts get completely lost

Mind, I wouldn't be surprised if Israel press the button...

We are on the brink of global conflict, I just hope that some agreement and ceasefire can be reached.
