Isidor

Haway man.

Nee way anybody is going to pay anywhere near £20m for a Sunderland reserve with 6 Premier League goals.

Love him but...
He’s not a reserve. He’s a finisher and considering his minutes he’s done better than brobbey.

How much do you think a replacement of his level would cost?

Finisher, sminisher.

It's just this season's buzz word. They're reserves or substitutes. Always have been, always will be.

F*cking finishers, man.

Suspect it will be up to him. He’s not going to start much as brobbey is rightfully the correct profile of striker for our style of play. Isador is perfectly suited to being an impact sub imo
Agree its up to him although we might think we can be clever and cash in and get better for less.

I'd still love to see them up top together in a 5-3-2 think we've missed a trick trying this whilst we've had trouble getting consistent input from our wingers dating back to when mundle and Watson were both injured last year

Would like us to keep him as he can be a really good back-up/rotation option for Brobbey depending on the opponents but reckon he'll be away.

One of the most obvious examples of a 'confidence player' I can remember seeing for us. Don't think it's any coincidence that his form and performances nosedived after that late miss at Anfield whereas he's looked a lot sharper since he scored at Villa a few weeks back.

I keep saying he’s great off the bench when games open up, but will he be happy with that role. I would keep.
Need to use our bench more often. Finally used all 5 subs and our 4 attacking ones were critical to scoring both of our later goals in the game. Diarra and Rigg have an assist each, isidor scores. It was so refreshing to bring so much energy on - that front 4 at the end of isidor, Talbi, Rigg and Diarra are scary when you’re a tiring defender in an open game with fresh legs.

Unless it’s silly money I’d keep him.

Gives us something different and a great finisher
Starting to think he has been toughened up on purpose. No more smiley isidor he is a moody wrathlord now. No longer thinking about finishing just instinct. Mayenda clearly the one to go now

I'm always torn with Isidor,

On 1 hand he can finish be an impact player when legs are tired but he's unhappy doing it.

On the other hand, he starts and runs around like a headless chicken that can't impose himself on a game, barely touching the ball for a run of 2 or 3 games.

I would have liked to see him given a run of games on the left.

I also think Mayenda will be away, possibly on loan. We need 3 strikers at the club

This. A main striker. A backup striker that can play if the main ones injured. And a change one for if the first way isnt working.

Preferably a youth team one that we actually bring on when we are a couple up, or down as a fourth
It’s the premier league. Almost every player outside City and Arsenal are flakey

Not including Xhaka

He's an excellent finisher and striker of the ball when he gets half a chance. I would be pretty sad to see him go as he seems like a great character as well.

They were subs/reserves when you could only make one or 2 changes. Now you can almost swap the whole team so there are a lot of players getting lots of minutes, hence ‘starters’ and ‘finishers’.

I suspect his time is up and it's probably best for both the club and him.

If he stays then no issues with it, seems a great character and can make a difference every now and then but mim being decent for a couple of games recently doesn't change how ineffective he's been for the last six month.
