Isidor

The game was crying out for through balls and runners today and Brobbey for all he is good is not that type of player but you seen when Wilson came on what can happen with pace

Any CH would rather mark someone with strength over speed every day of the week

Also today Brobbey was up against 3 CH

Aye they've mentioned those, definitely the Arsenal one because of his strength to get there. I'm not saying he's a bad player or Isidor is better, they've both got strengths that the other doesn't have.
I think Isidor will be away but for me that’s a shame as in these stretched games he is an absolute weapon, if used correctly. The problem is Isidor won’t want that role.

Why would he be foaming at our fans? He's always been popular and the fans have been nothing but supportive. Probably just relieved he finished. Cracking goal. Shame we could get something out of the game in the end, ridiculous in fact.

I don't know why, because I'm not that tactically astute, but today we never or were never able to play to Brobbey's strength. There was the odd test of strength with Mings but we certainly played differently.
I think we all agree that our wide attacking players have been the weakest element of the side and that Le Fee is more effective in the middle of the pitch. I wonder if now is the time to try a midfield diamond with a front two of Brobbery and Isidor?

True. No hate for the Brob here mind, just felt he wasn’t in the game today and I’m happy for Wilson to get a goal. Today will give him confidence as he has a part to play in certain games but it’s felt like his season has been finished since about October. It’d be a shame to lose him in the summer, we could do much worse. I’d love to see what they could do as a pair.

Can’t see Regis ever going with two up top. His way, and tbf the way of most coaches these days is to have one striker, wingers who also score and at least one in CM who weighs in with a fair few goals. We’re lacking a bit in all those departments….a few from the wingers and the midfield but not quite enough to make us a real dangerous goal threat.

Considering isidor has barely played since brobbey came into the team. Even when brobbey was injured. Hes still only 1 goal behind brobbey. He looked more like his old self yesterday I hope hes back properly now and ready to push on. A great option to have off the bench when hes on it. More Importantly i hope any issues with his family are sorted out (if there was any)

To be fair to brobbey he was begging for a few through balls/balls in behind.

Think international duty has done him wonders.

Will be really sad to see him leave which I think he will unless RLB can figure out a formation to include him and Brobbey.

If the change in the offside rule comes in (ie. Clear space between 2nd last defender and attacker). Would be a total game changer for Isidor and be massive for players like Le Fee able to provide those kind of perfectly weighted passes to strikers hangi nt on the shoulder of a last man.

Wouldn’t be suprised to see him hit 15 plus goals if it comes in.

Deserves support
I’d take that every game if he puts them away

Who would have thought, playing to his style sees him impact the game?
..felt sorry for Brobbey, he made that run endlessly yesterday, never got 1 through ball...he goes off, Le Fee gets put in the middle and 2 through balls are out on a plate for Isidor and Diarra. Bet Brobbey was fuming. Le Fee needs to play central.

He will be away in the summer. Brobbey offers alot more but there’s no doubt Isidor is the better finisher. Shame be can’t merge there two attributes together
Yeah I’ve thought he’d be off too but maybe this goal could be a turning point.
As previous poster said he is the best finisher at the club, and he offers something different to Brobbey

I thought it was aimed at the fans - I assume it was in front of ours?

Wilson has always played more like a winger than a forward but finishes well. He doesn’t hold the ball up well for me or secure it like Brobbey. Play the ball at pace to him though and he’s excellent. Two completely different players with their own positives.

Isidor is a good egg. He won't have meant any maice in it. I took as a bit similar to when players point to the name on the back of the shirt to say 'yep, I can still be the main man.

It was a really well taken goal. It wasn't so much the finish as the timing of the run and the absolutely superb first touch to control the ball on his wrong foot right into his stride as it came right through him.

It showed exactly what he can offer as a pacey poacher running off the shoulder. His nearly goal against Liverpool away was very similar. Very few teams start with that type of forward these days unfortunately but I am now wondering if we actually should be thinking about him for just the type of situation we find ourselves in late in games, especially against high lines.

As mentioned, there is also the question about if he'd want to stay just to be a second choice option. Other teams will be interested and may offer a decent wage for a striker who has scored a decent number of open play prem goal in a limited number of minutes for a mid table team that hasn't made loads of chances. I reckon £10/15m is very possible for him.
