They amazingly enough have a multi tier domestic league. No idea how that works!

It's an absolute hellhole of a country unfortunately, controlled by the gangs and haven't had a leader of the country for a couple of years now so god knows how they have a working sporting body!

I literally haven't criticised anyone. You must have incredibly thin skin if you think I have.

I pointed out that Guyana was in South America so geographically not really part of the Windies and that Belize was in Central America. They are facts.

The West Indies does not exist as a political entity, nor does it exist as a geographical entity. The attempt to form a political entity was a failure. It exist as group of countries that identify culturally as being of the West Indies. Guyana and Belize are two such countries. Describing people as living under a rock is insulting.

A quick check on the BBC website brings up over 20 stories about Haiti this year, none good. Gangs, violence, rape, kidnappings etc.

I dropped geography after 3rd year so didn’t do O level but I genuinely thought that Hispaniola was a pirate ship in Scarborough. 🤷‍♂️
 
Well @Keith S30S I'm sorry but I don't understand your reason for posting a laughing emoji. Your failure to address my points is another example of your arrogance.

The West Indies does not exist as a geographical or a political entity. It is a loose grouping of mainland countries and island countries that lie amongst other Caribbean islands that identify as being West Indian. Several of these Caribbean islands do not identify as being part of the West Indies and are not recognised as such.

I described Haiti as Hell in earth and it was my first post in this thread. Knowing what happens in Haiti is not the same as know the history of Hispaniola and the two countries that sit on it. It is not generally known amongst the general public. I would argue that it is not generally known that St. Maarten and St Martin are separate entities.

Here I would agree with you. Most people know the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Hispaniola sounds like something from the History books.
What I didn't remember was that they were two countries in the same Island. What is surprising is the different stage of development of the two countries. The state of Haiti is absolutely dreadful, but it won't be anything to do with the inhabitants. I am sure though that for the Guardian it's our fault as a country, and for the Telegraph it's Starmer's fault.
